| Description:
The
2005 Lawwill Street Tracker starts life as a stock 1,200cc
Harley Davidson Sportster. The only thing saved from
the frame is the mounting lugs for the rubber engine
mounts and the serial number off the steering head.
The frame is a completely custom hand built 4130 chrome
molly frame that is designed around The "Lawwill
Patented Rear Suspension System". Jim Belland builds
the frame while Mert puts together the swingarms. The
swingarms are welded by MC Products near Portland Oregon.
The swingarms are then heat treated to 6061-T6. There
are numerous unique CNC parts throughout the bike that
are all made by DKG in San Rafael CA.
The motor: The street tracker uses special new heads
cast by S.T.D. in southern California that put the exhaust
ports on the left side and the intake on the right side
to mimic the XR 750cc flat tracker. Modern "D"
shaped ports are installed and duel 38mm carburetors
are added. The relocated intake ports have dramatically
better flow than the stock ports. An Andrews cam set
that is designed especially for the street tracker series
replaces the stock cams. A Harley Davidson Screaming
Eagle full race ignition system, and a full race Super
Trapp stainless steel exhaust system is installed.
The
standard handle bars, electric controls and stock Harley
Davidson wiring system is used to keep the bike easily
serviceable at any harley Davidson dealer.
Light weight Buell forks are used along with Brembo
calipers for the brakes and 19" flat track style
wheels are used and fitted with Maxxis dirt track tires
that use a special road racing compound. The gas tank
is a slightly oversize unit that carries a full 3.5
gallons.
Lastly
the Harley Davidson name plate on the side of the engine
is removed and replaced with our own special Street
tracker serial number.
